The Boiler

The TRX is a high-efficiency, wall-hung boiler equipped with an Innovative XTRATECH® stainless steel heat exchanger with large diameter tubing. Every unit is equipped with embedded Wi-Fi connectivity so that the TRX control can easily communicate with NTI remote connectivity tools, making servicing easier. All internal components utilize bayonet quick connectors, eliminating the need to braze or solder within the unit. Swing down control box greatly enhances serviceability, making all major components easily accessible.

  • The pipe features exceptional workability, flexibility, and kink repairability and is backed by a 25-year limited warranty.
  • Uponor helioPEX X2 is rated and listed by the Hydrostatic Stress Board of PPI at 93.3°C (200°F) at 80 psi, 82.2°C (180°F) at 100 psi, and 23°C (73.4°F) at 160 psi.

Manifold Specifications
  • The 1 1⁄4" Stainless-steel Manifold Assembly with flow meter comes fully assembled and ready for installation.
  • Use the included flow meters located on the supply manifold to balance the loops across the manifold.
  • The return manifold comes equipped with isolation valves for easy loop isolation. For multiple zoning on the manifold, the black caps are removed and replaced with Uponor Thermal Actuators.

  • We will also provide you with up to 2 floor drains in the concrete floor.
  • The manifold acts as the heart of the system, efficiently distributing heat through specially designed tubing installed beneath your outdoor surface. With its sleek design and professional-grade construction, it seamlessly blends in with your outdoor decor while providing optimal heating capabilities.
  • To ensure uninterrupted warmth during colder months, we have included a cutting-edge NTI TRX heating boiler that will be expertly installed in your mechanical room. This high-efficiency boiler utilizes advanced technology to deliver consistent heat output while minimizing energy consumption – perfect for environmentally conscious homeowners who prioritize sustainability without compromising on comfort.
  • Additionally, we understand the importance of protecting your investment against freezing temperatures. Our installation package comes complete with freeze protection accompanied by an automatic feeder to safeguard against freezing conditions.
The Required Timeline

As of today, here is the time frames required before concrete can be poured:

Tube layout and heat loss design (permit package) 1 to 2 weeks
Submit documents & request permit 3 to 5 days
Materials ordering & delivery 3 to 5 days
Tubing Installation 4 to 6 days
Request for inspection 1 to 5 days

Once inspection is passed by the City, concrete can be scheduled and poured.

Boiler and mechanical installation: 4 to 7 days


Work Order Installation Agreement

Our work scope includes:

  • The completion of the permit design package (required before permit is submitted)
  • Submit documents and request permit
  • Complete a pre-installation site visit and determine best location for the new boiler and manifold station
  • Supply and install up to 2 floor drains in the agreed areas of the garage floor
  • Supply and install pex insulation over prepared ground
  • Supply and install Helio-pex tubing on top of pex insulation
  • Supply and install valved manifolds c/w flow meters
  • Supply and install a new NTI boiler, model TRX, inside the garage and connect to manifold
  • Supply and install the required mechanical accessories to work with the boiler
  • Supply and install the automatic feeder with freeze protection heat transfer fluid for the tubing and manifolds

Project notes:

  • Materials shipping and freight is included
  • A minimum working indoor temperature of +15 degrees Celsius is required. Customer is to provide a temporary heat source if temperatures reach below this point.
  • The entire floor surface will be completed at the same time, therefore, all the floor area that is to be done, must be fully accessible for the new floor heating installation
  • electrical and gas outlets must be available at the location where the boiler is to be installed

The price does not cover the following services; however, should these services be deemed necessary during the pre-installation site inspection, they will be quoted separately or provided at an additional cost.

  • Concrete work
  • Ventilation (may be required for floor heating systems)

  • Concrete coring through walls
  • Natural gas line and high voltage electrical installation to the location of the boiler room
