Tubing Specifications

• Manufactured using an Uponor-proprietary technology, Uponor helioPEX™ X2 is an oxygen-barrier PEX pipe that conforms to DIN 4726 and is designed as a competitive alternative for residential radiant heating applications.
• The pipe features exceptional workability, flexibility, and kink repairability and is backed by a 25-year limited warranty.
• Uponor helioPEX X2 is rated and listed by the Hydrostatic Stress Board of PPI at 93.3°C (200°F) at 80 psi, 82.2°C (180°F) at 100 psi, and 23°C (73.4°F) at 160 psi.
• The product offering is available in ½", ⅝", or ¾" coils and is compatible with ProPEX® ASTM F1960 expansion, ASTM F2080 compression, and ASTM F1807 crimp fittings.

Note: Uponor helioPEX X2 is not approved for potable-water applications.

Manifold Specifications

• The 1 1⁄4" Stainless-steel Manifold Assembly with flow meter comes fully assembled and ready for installation.
• Use the included flow meters located on the supply manifold to balance the loops across the manifold.
• The return manifold comes equipped with isolation valves for easy loop isolation. For multiple zoning on the manifold, the black caps are removed and replaced with Uponor Thermal Actuators.

As of today, here is the time frames required before concrete or paving can be poured or paving stones installed.

Once the hydronic inspection is passed by the City, the installation of the sand bed and paving stones can be scheduled.

The Work Order

Scope includes:

• The completion of the permit design package (required before permit is submitted)
• Submit documents and request permit
• Supply and install pex insulation over compacted ground
• Supply and install Helio-pex tubing on top of pex insulation
• Supply and install snow melt socket in the driveway area, and cap and secure it in the garage
• Supply and install valved manifolds on the outside wall of the garage, complete with a custom manifold encloser (painted in outdoor satin black)
• Supply and install a new NTI boiler, model TFTN, on a plywood backing board on the wall inside the garage, and connect to manifold
• Supply and install the required mechanical accessories to work with the boiler, including the boiler venting (outdoor venting to be painted in outdoor satin black)
• Supply and install the automatic feeder with freeze protection for the tubing and manifolds
• Setup the system for automatic snow melt and commission it into service.

The price does not cover the following services; however, should these services be deemed necessary during the pre-installation site inspection, they will be quoted separately or provided at an additional cost.

• home gas line alterations or re-sizing
• supply or installation of the sand bed, compaction or paving stones
• electrical and gas outlets must be available at the location where the boiler is to be installed
• any failed inspection results outside the immediate scope of this quote

Important installation notes:

As paving stones will be used in lue of concrete pour, landscape contractor must install a 2" to 3" compacted sand bed over top of the insulation and tubing, then paving stones can be installed.

• Pay a 50% deposit when you place your order, 35% payment when the materials are delivered, and 15% balance when our work is completed.
